Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.

What God has done for me

Instead of giving me worldly success,

He allowed me to fail.

He redeemed my failures

and taught me to be successful in Him.

Instead of giving me money and riches,

He allowed me to know poverty.

It opened my eyes and heart

Now I have compassion on the needy,

total trust in Him for all provision,

and treasures in heaven.

Instead of giving me college education,

He allowed me to attend His school of life -

Where I majored in Struggling, Hardship, and Mistakes.

Now my character is seasoned and deepened,

having been broken and remade to His liking.

I was only required to read one textbook -

His Holy Word. This book alone served as my Professor.

Instead of giving me strength and health,

He allowed me to know weakness and illness.

This has shown me the vanity of physical strength,

It comes and it goes, like the changng seasons.

Nothing is guaranteed us in this temporary world.

He alone is my source.

He alone is my strength.

He is my Rock, my Redeemer, and

He is my King.

Jesus Christ, Lord of lords,

King of kings, my Saviour, my everything.

To be saved through Jesus Christ, you believe in your heart, and confess to Him in prayer, that He came to earth and died for your sins, that you are a sinner, that you are truly sorry for your sins, and ask Him to forgive you through His blood that was shed for you when He gave His life for us on the cross. He will forgive you, and He’s been waiting for you! Ask Him for new life, and tell Him that you’re ready to begin a relationship with Him. Ask Him to come into your heart. He will do it. He “stands at the door and knocks”. Open the door and invite Him in. It’s the most important and best decision you will ever make. When you are ready to be saved and go to Him in prayer, just pray in your own words, from your heart. He knows you and He will answer you.

Ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to open your eyes and soften your heart. He will do it, and much, much more.

As a new Christian, you will begin a new life. Read the Bible, and do what it says. Baptism is an outer sign of your new life in Christ, symbolic of the washing away of sin. However baptism is not salvation, it’s an outer sign of a new beginning. This can be done in a church, or by another believer in Jesus Christ, even in your own home. God knows your heart, and joining together with other believers isn’t always easy these days. But do meet with other Christians if you can, even if just virtually, online.

Avoid denominations. Learn of Him in freedom and truth. The Holy Bible is our authority, not the doctrines of man-made religious institutions - aka “the precepts of men.” Beware false preachers and teachers.

Pray often. Have confidence - you are His child, and He is your Father! His love for you is unconditional, not performance based, and He loves you more than you can comprehend!

Follow Him with all of your heart. You are saved through grace, meaning, His death on the cross paid the penalty for your sins. You can’t work your way into heaven.

As a Christian, you will want to serve Him, because you love Him. Not to earn your way into heaven.

Your salvation is secure.

When you stumble and sin on your journey, go to Him right away, and ask forgiveness - repent. He will forgive you. However, be careful not to grow slack in your walk, and abuse His grace. You cannot deliberately carry on in sin, without repentence. This is very dangerous. Unconfessed sin is a sign of not truly following Him. Not repenting, but calling yourself a Christian, puts your eternity in danger.

We must not take lightly what He did for us, on the cross. He suffered greatly, was mocked and tortured, and died a terrible death, so that we can have access to The Father. Anyone. Anywhere. No matter what. He died for us all, so that we might live. We can’t call ourselves Christians, and only follow Him based on what’s comfortable to us. We can’t keep on sinning without repentance, and expect to have eternal life in heaven.

Yes we are under grace, and yes we are forgiven. But we can’t abuse it.

Nobody is perfect, we all are sinners and we all fall short, every day. So stay close to Him, and when you sin, go to Him right away and ask to be forgiven. You will grow stronger in time. He will help you with every temptation and struggle.

Don’t seek perfection, just seek Him.
